Beige Texture

I lived misaligned,

a cracked likeness of myself.

I learned to function in pieces,

to carry days without feeling them.

Depression thinned the world,

turned hope into a memory.

But cracks change how light enters.

I move forward marked,

not whole,

but healing—

walking toward something

that finally feels

real.
